Three days on the inland sandhills of central Wisconsin. Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, and Sedge Valley sit on one property — walkable, fescue, and close enough that the itinerary is the resort. This is the Midwest trip people keep rebooking.

01
Day 1

Arrival & Sand Valley

Morning
Fly into Madison (MSN) or Milwaukee (MKE)
Madison is 1 hour 45 minutes; Milwaukee about 2.5. One SUV. Do not fly into Central Wisconsin unless the times are perfect.
2:00 PM
Sand Valley
Afternoon tee time on the Coore & Crenshaw. Take a caddie if it is the group's first walk on sandhills.

Dinner at Mammoth Bar
On-property. Burgers, a Wisconsin old fashioned, and the scorecard inquest. No reason to leave the resort.

Day 2

Mammoth Dunes Day

8:00 AM
Mammoth Dunes
The main event for most groups. Wide corridors, big greens, and a finishing stretch that photographs itself.

The Sandbox
17-hole par-3 course. Walk it with a beer. This is the afternoon the group will talk about more than the medal round.

The nicer on-property room. Book it for night two. Split the ribeye and stay for another old fashioned.

Day 3

Sedge Valley & Departure

7:30 AM
Sedge Valley
Early tee time on the Doak. Short, firm, and the most interesting golf of the week if you like to think.

Grab-and-go before the drive. Do not skip the cookies.

Drive back to MSN or MKE
Build a 4pm-or-later flight. If The Lido is open and you can steal a twilight, change the flights.

"Book the Sand Valley lodging package the morning it opens — tee times are tied to rooms for peak months, and The Lido (the MacKenzie replica) is a separate reservation that vanishes first. Add it as a fourth round if you can stretch a night."
